My "Crab Nebula" painting is not proceeding as planned. I found that the composition just wasn't working, so I've set aside and will return to it at a later date. Luckily, one can paint over previous works easily when working in oils, so the canvas won't be wasted.

In the meantime, I've finished "Young Stars" and have almost finished "Super Nova Remnant". I will be doing three to five more works in this section of my show portfolio, and then I will move on and start the section on the Northern Lights. Once those are done, I begin works based upon my myriad photos of clouds.

If all goes well, I will have approximately 20 works in my May 2015 show, "Skyscapes". Most of the paintings will be in the 30" by 40" range.
